What if some rules of Feng Shui are not practical in my home?

Im moving to a very small apartment on my own and I want to go by Feng Shui guidelines.For example, my bed wont be facing north, my couch wont be able to face the door of the room. And I dont know which door is my front door! Is it the door with the number or the second door leading to the street? Please help, thanks!

your question is vague. in applying fengshui to a house. we need blueprints and measurements. and the applications of fengshui solutions must be properly done. thus, you need a fengshui auditor or a master who can do it for you.

there are many things to know about fengshui, one of them is form. what are the forms outside your house. where is the mountains/ or buildings, the roads (and direction that they face), surrounding trees, etc. in relation to your house?

next, what is the precise degree which your main door (not gate) faces. what areas are good for the living room, bedroom, etc. and what areas are bad, that can be alloted for the toilet, hallways? where can you put your kitchen/ stove, so that you can earn more money? what things you need to put in your house to activate your house, so that you can have a good and happy life?

third, there are advanced techniques like water dragons. do you have space to put a water dragon in your house?

these are just the summary of what a fengshui is like. fengshui is not arranging your furnitures, it is not about painting your bedroom to make it more yin, it is not putting 2 mandarin ducks to meet a good spouse. if fengshui is as easy as that then we’d all be rich and living happily ever after. but we do not.

fengshui is more than that, that is why, fengshui cost a lot of money to do, because masters research hard to learn the secrets these concepts hold. and there is no book out there that enumerates all of these.
