Feng Shui And Color – Balancing Yin Yang Energies In The Home
Yin yang is a common symbol known all around the world. It is also a popular symbol used in decorating clothing, worn with accessories, and even on stickers. As popular as it is, its meaning is not commonly known. It represents the two energies that put everything in motion, that make everything happen; they are the essence of life. This is shown in the way the black and white halves of the symbol, although separate, seem to continuous flow and move together as one.
The Feng Shui colors that interpret yin and yang are black and white. Yin carries the black color while yang energy carries the white. They must work together, one cannot exist without the other and they cannot operate alone. Within a home, when balance is everything, peaceful feng shui energy is needed to attract supporting energy and that is why the balance of yin and yang are important.
The passive energy of yin is also known as the female energy. This yields to the forces surrounding it. Yin is the energy of rest, relaxed and slow movements, silence, and deep darkness. The night when one is sleeping or anytime one is resting to recharge, this is the dominant energy. Feng Shui And Color
The active energy of yang is also known as the masculine energy. This is the force that keeps everything moving. Yang is a strong energy, vibrant and lively colors and sounds are associated with it. It is the upward energy movement. A home full of people, a busy office, and a lively party all are dominated with this energy.
The family room, living room, and a kitchen are generally the areas that carry the strongest presence of yang energy because they are the most active areas. Having lively colors and vibrant elements in those places contributes to that active energy. Using a lot of media materials and interactive games in those place helps to attract that energy. The balance of yin cannot be forgotten, as that passive energy is needed. Deep colors and comfortable seating areas help to keep the flow of balance.
The bedroom is usually the main area to carry the passive yin energy. There you want a place that is relaxing so one can recharge. The energy in this room needs to be feminine, relaxing, and about sleep. It is important to keep the dominant yang energies from overtaking this area by removing TVs, exercise equipment, and office work. But leave light colors and candles to balance out the darkness of yin.
Creating a home that carries a harmonious balance of feng shui yin yang energies is essential. A fulfilling and healthy life needs the balance those energies bring, and a good quality of it. Oftentimes feng shui energies can be imbalanced, life is busy so the yang dominates. That is why it is important to balance both yin and yang in the home. Feng Shui And Color
