Feng Shui Red Color

feng shui help pls?
i am a student and i study in my bed room… i want to colour it a very dark shade of red, almost wine red… is this good?
Red itself represents the fire element and trying to study in a room with that color may prove to be a challenge with the chi in the area in a constant state of activity.
An earthy pastel color or the classical cream/white colors are the best for both rest and studies. Best of luck
