Feng Shui Pseudoscience
Do you believe in a pseudoscience?
“Pseudoscience is defined as a body of knowledge, methodology, belief, or practice that is claimed to be scientific or made to appear scientific, but does not adhere to the scientific method, lacks supporting evidence or plausibility, or otherwise lacks scientific status.”
-Wikipedia.org
This means stuff like feng shui, psychics, creationism, etc.
If you do believe in any pseudoscience please describe which ones and any details as to why.
I realize my mistake now–I was under the impression of “pseudoscience” being a neutral term, but quite obviously it is not. I think I’ll rephrase the question and try again later. Thanks for your replies though!
The problem with your question is that anyone who believes in the genuineness of a pseudoscience will vehemently protest that it is a real science and not a pseudoscience. (Of course, he will agree, all that other stuff is pseudoscientific nonsense.)
Think of the zillions of dollars creationists spend on pushing their stuff, or all the money various types of alternative medicine nuts spend on their “therapies.”
