Can the Pachira Macrocarpa “Money Tree” thrive is very low light?

I bought two of these plants to help feng shui my new home. The card that came with then said ” Great for low to medium light areas. As did the lady at the store. I have mine placed on my fireplace wall mount in the living room. There is a big sliding door to the outside in the living room. I would say that this room gets low light.. or very low light. Its bright enough for me to see without turning on the lights but still very low. Direct “low” light does not hit the trees ( as the card says). Anyway.. I am noticing that some of the leaves are dying?????? I give the trees such good care and I followed the instructions on lighting. There really isn’t any other place for me to put them. Does anyone know about these trees that could help me out??

Sometimes plants thrive on benevolent neglect. Usually when leaves die, the plant is either being over watered or underwatered. Give the plant no more than 1″ of water a week.
