Use jewelry feng shui to support your intentions
The jewelry you wear expresses one or more elements of feng shui. You can use jewelry to set specific intentions or to help boost the perks of a particular element for a specific occasion.
Jewelry you choose yourself will represent your strongest elements. Ideally, gifts from friends and family will also honor those elements, your taste. Often, though, it represents the strongest elements present in the gifter, rather than the giftee. This can be a very good thing in that your jewelry options will then include the elements you want to strengthen to become more balanced.
Even the combination of selections has a feng shui factor. If you’re the sort of person who likes to wear sets of jewelry — matching ring, bracelet, necklace, and earrings — your strongest element is most likely Metal. You prefer the understated elegance of symmetric harmony.
You may also choose matching jewelry if your strongest element is Wood by a large margin. For example, your 5 Element Personality Profile results are : Water: 5, Wood : 38, Fire : 7, Earth : 10, Metal : 8.
A person so strong in Wood only wears jewelry because it is the “right” thing to do, only for the more formal social occasions, and feels safer wearing stuff that matches since the artistic element in combining different pieces is foreign ground for them.
A Fire person would not be caught dead wearing a matching set. The very idea gives them the willies. A Fire person enjoys combining things of widely disparate styles. The results are fascinating, fabulous, and well, outrageous.
You can have the most fun with jewelry feng shui when you designate an intention for various pieces.
You probably already do this, intuitively, and now, with more conscious awareness, the power of that intention is deepened. Just like your intuitive placement of strong symbols in your home gain power as you understand the feng shui significance.
When you wear jewelry that was given to you by a special friend or a piece that was chosen in their presence, it brings the shared joy and love of that friend with you every time you wear it. It is a symbol of friendship. An ideal time to wear such a piece is when your day’s plan includes lunch or dinner with a new friend.
A piece of jewelry that you chose to commemorate a successful sale is a symbol of success you would be wise to wear to promote more successful sales.
A gift of jewelry from a child to the mother on Mother’s Day honors that special bond.
