Feng Shui Essay

I need to write an essay on the presence of a certain East Asian value in North America. Any suggestions?

I need some suggestions on the topic. It can also be about the potential for a certain value to be accepted in North America.

It has to be on either Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, or Korean. I don’t want to do something everyone else will do like anime. But good examples would be like Chinese traditional medicine, or feng shui or anything like that.

Thanks for the help.

When you say ‘value,’ it makes me think of education, family, monetary success, anti-premarital sex, etc.

An East Asian value that is present in North America is education. It’s intertwined with the Western value/goal of material success, because in order to gain material success, usually one would achieve it through a legitimate mean such as education.

Having a good education = getting a good job = making a lot of money = becoming filthy rich.

Education is a very big value for any of those Asian countries, but more so in the poorest countries like Vietnam, where education is hard to come by because it is only available to those with money and status.
