me and my partner are born in the year of the rat. is this lucky or unlucky?
Some guy who made dzi bead bracelets for us told me that if me and my partner were both born in the year of the rat, it will be hard for us in terms of our luck and living. But he told me, in Feng Shui there is always a counter-charm or counter measure to prevent this from happening.
Is it true that if we were both born in the year of the rat we will be unlucky?
If so, is there a counter measure and what is it?

it depends.
if you’re both men or women, then there will be no problem – and if you are both born on the same year. but if you are not, then my answer below might be your condition. dont believe what others tell you. most people get their fengshui knowledge from books, which are a poor source of info.
if you and your partner are straight, then it depends on your kua elements. i would not know, because you havent given any birthdates to base my analysis. so for example, you are of east group, while your partner is of the west group, or vice versa. then what is lucky to you, will be unlucky to your partner. basically it means that the relationship will be a struggle – like going against a river uphill. it is not impossible to work, it just needs a lot more effort. there is no such thing as to counter this. when doing fengshui to the house, practitioners usually give the kitchen to benefit the breadwinner, or the person who earns more; and give the bedroom to the other person. giving means the room is optimized for the person. in fengshui, the most important room is the kitchen, because it is where money is attracted to, or it determines your financial health. the bedroom is for health. these 2 are only effective, when the rooms are located and positioned correctly.
