The meaning of color

Feeling blue. Seeing red. A glimmer of hope. All these statements were made that the meaning can be assigned colors. Maybe you've always wondered why certain colors you like, or often find themselves in the image. As someone creating mandalas and art therapy, I found that taking the time to analyze my choice of color gave an overview on the major where I am, both mentally and spiritually.

Below is a quick reference guide that can be used to obtain a greater awareness your own artwork or designs mandala. Each color has reviewed a list of meanings "which can take from the time when trying to interpret his work with a list of "uses" that can help choose colors for healing or as a form of art therapy. RED Meaning: energy, passion, energy, desire, intensity, anger
Use the appetite depression cons, the increase to attract attention, increase energy, achieve goals
In terms of energy, a person has a red (like most teenagers) are often impulsive, exciting, looking freedom of people. Red is used in fast food so that customers eat quickly and increase your appetite.

ORANGE meanings: creativity, confidence, increased intuition, pleasure, adventure
Uses: creativity and increased self-talk, improve metabolism, mood

YELLOW Meaning: joyful, luminous, optimistic, warm, open, innovative
Use clear: mental growth, the release of problems, promote enjoyment

GREEN meanings: harmony, balance, growth, tradition, the approach, jealousy
Uses compassion for calm the nerves, improve, restore mental and emotional balance
Green is essentially in the middle of the interpretation of color spectrum assessment of his head. The experts of Feng Shui and the healing powers of restorative tense green color, often using different colors to maximize its healing effects.

BLUE Meaning: truth, depth, loyalty, serenity, empathy
Uses: soothe, cleanse, induce feelings of peace and tranquility
Artists and poets (and other sensitive) are attracted by this color. The Interior designers use blue in the design of rooms for its peaceful qualities. Dark blue is often used uniforms, because of qualities of truth and respect for inducing color.

PURPLE meanings: spirituality, royalty, originality, imagination, mystery
Uses: meditation, inspiration, psychic healing, connection with more power
Purple is associated with the chakra the crown, which unites us with infinite consciousness, the universe and / or God. Not surprisingly, purple has a long history of use in a variety of religious ceremonies of Christianity to Hinduism.

WHITE meanings: respect, purity, innocence, simplicity, cleanliness
Uses: purify the body and mind
The significance of white in a dream is believed to be its representation a hope fulfilled or the level of spiritual enlightenment. White is a healing color yin used in Eastern cultures to induce calm.

BLACK meanings: elegance, power, strength, achievement
Uses: inner strength, the power in the race, self-control
In the fashion industry, black is equal to the richness and sophistication of the clothing is, the limousines, the little black dress, color etc. also used to represent the authority is to judge robe, clothing priest and a black belt in martial arts, but it can be both black oppressive.
