Feng Shui – Is it the misfortune of having the bed in front of a shelf?

I am trying to fix my room. I do my best to follow Feng Shui. I was wondering if it is bad luck to have in front of your bed (directly) to a plateau, or if it is OK. The library would be the other bedside. There are approximately 1.5 meters of space between them if this kind of course. Is it bad luck? Please help me (: Thanks!
