Chinese Feng Shui Symbols

Does the colour RED work in Feng Shui?
For the Chinese, the colour Red symbolizes good fortune and prosperity. In the Western philosphy, Red is the colour of blood, the symbol of strength and bravery. How does this colour relate to bringing “auspicious energy” to anyone who practices Feng Shui, the Chinese art of placement?
Red intesifies the bodies natural reactions. It causes movement and flow. When placed in a room it makes a bold statement and is very noticeable. It feeds the enitre room energy. Placed with subtle colors it gives a balanced and calming peace throught the room.
I hope this helps
