Feng Shui Room Arrangement Bedroom

feng shui advice?

I want to rearrange my bedroom according to feng shui but I can’t figure it out! Please, if you can help me, I can provide pictures of my room so you can see my problem. I really need help, as the current arrangement is causing me to sleep badly.

You’ll probably need to find a good book or two on feng shui practices, or find someone who really knows what they are doing and can help you, if you are planning to change your entire bedroom/sleeping area accordingly. There are some very simple things you can do, though, that will increase good energy flow and are part of feng shui practices. The link below should help get you started. Some of the suggestions I’ve read say your bed should not face the door, you should avoid mirrors or too many mirrors, you should open the door or a window for at least 20-30 minutes a day to allow good energy to flow through, eliminate any and all clutter, if you have a television take it out or cover or hide it when not in use, have things with soft edges in your room, etc. Hope this helped and good luck to you!

Feng Shui Home Decorating Tips : Feng Shui for the Master Bedroom

Feng Shui

Feng Shui

$12.98

The ancient Chinese art of Feng Shui stresses the importance of living in harmony with nature. Many Chinese believe that the earth has channels of energy and that buildings, towns, and rooms should be designed and constructed so as not to obstruct these channels. The Living Earth Manual of Feng Shui outlines how Feng Shui can be applied on a small or large scale, in the busiest cities or the smallest room. It shows how Feng Shui can be used to determine site and arrangement in order to enhance the quality of life. This book is perfect for those new to Feng Shui or those interested in expanding their knowledge.

Dorm Room Feng Shui

Dorm Room Feng Shui

$4.48

We’ve Feng Shui-ed the home and the office. Now it’s time for this ancient Chinese art of spatial arrangement and orientation to take on the greatest challenge of all — the dorm room. Fifteen million kids go off to college each fall, laden down with bedding, wall hangings, computer, books, clothes, stereo, mini-fridge, photos, etc. — and they are determined to cram it all into one very small dorm room. The problem is compounded when the roommate shows up with an equal pile of stuff. How do you make a dorm room comfortable and conducive to everything from sleeping to studying to socializing? When confronted with this dilemma in her own tiny, first-year dorm room, author Katherine Olaksen called for help — and feng shui answered. In Dorm Room Feng Shui, Olaksen presents quick, cheap, and innovative feng shui fixes designed to cure any student’s troubles. A nine-second quiz helps zero in on the life issues that need the most attention, from roommate relationships to career choices, and the corresponding areas of the dorm room to focus on. Light-hearted yet practical text offers simple suggestions for changing the flow of chi (energy) in the room to help ease the problem areas. The result is a more inviting dorm-room environment, and a charging up of chi, which, according to feng shui theory, will help improve study habits, pump up social life, soothe roomie relations, and even inspire some organizing and clean-up. This is a book that is as irresistible to read as a horoscope, and heaven knows, could prove to be uncannily accurate.

The founder of the internationally popular magazine, Feng Shui for Modern Living, Skinner shows how rearranging furniture, a mirror, changing colors, or even hanging a wind chime can restore harmony and maximize the flow of "ch’i", or good energy, to a room. Feng Shui Before & After also explores the feng shui concepts of the "magic square," the ability to discover which sectors of a house relate best to specific areas of a homeowner’s life, and the most and least fortunate directions in a room. A perfect balance between a Western demand for reinvention and a timeless Eastern art, this is an essential book for anyone searching for harmony within the walls of his or her own home.

Feng shui, the Chinese words for wind and water, is a time-honored system of rules, concepts and principles that explain how our lives are pragmatically and spiritually linked to our environment. As the author shows, based on his own experience, these principles can be implemented at little cost in both new and existing buildings, often with significant improvements to the physical and financial well-being of the people who live in them. Just a simple change in the placement of furniture or the addition of a plant to a room can have a noticeable impact on an individual’s life. With expert summaries of the key feng shui concepts, the author provides clear instructions for creating a place in which you want to spend time rather than one in which you are constantly trying to escape because "something doesn’t feel right." Unlike other books on the subject, The Feng Shui Companion details specific ways to incorporate feng shui principles into your own home or work space.  The author shows how just a few seemingly inconsequential and inexpensive changes in both new and existing structures can have enormously positive effects.
